Conceptoria

Where creative minds meet and new ideas emerge

Informal gatherings that bring creative thinkers together to share insights and spark ideas across fields of practice and intellectual disciplines.

Stimulating conversation

Conceptoria are live events designed to foster free-ranging conversation across disciplines and domains of practice — the kind of talk that flourishes in conference hallways or over coffee. They focus on sharing ideas in their formative stages, when questions are still open and new insights are just emerging.

What is a Conceptorium?

Part think tank, part creative studio, part workshop, a Conceptorium is a facilitated gathering organized around a specific topic or question. Conceptoria take different forms, including roundtable conversations, panel discussions, and invited speaker sessions.

What are the goals?

To spark innovation by fostering new insights, nurturing meaningful conversations, and creating opportunities for knowledge sharing among creative thinkers across fields of practice and intellectual disciplines.

Who can participate?

Anyone with curiosity and imagination is welcome — researchers, practitioners, community leaders, students, and creatives can all pull up a (virtual) chair and join the conversation.

What are the outcomes?

In addition to sparking new connections, shared insights, seeds of collaboration, each session results in a published recording and transcript.

About participating

What to expect

The session will be divided into four parts: Introductions, Discussion, Review, and Wrap-up. A moderator will be on hand to deliver introductions, help keep the conversation moving, and lead the review.

After the session, we will share a list of participants and their contact information, a transcript of the session, and the session recording. You should review the recording, and let us know if there are sections you feel should be redacted before public release. Finally, we will ask for your feedback on the session so we can improve the experience for future participants.

Recording agreement

By participating, you grant permission for Creative Crisis Leadership to
